Gentlemen,

I will be moving to Jefferson County/Tiltonsville, OH very soon. I have compiled a list of all ranges you guys recommended in this thread that are within +/- 1.5hrs from Tiltonsville. Based on the research I've done on this thread it looks like the DNR public shooting ranges in Fernwood State Forest and Harrison State Forest are the closest to where I will be. Do any of you have experience at these ranges or know of any ranges in that area that I have missed? Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you for your help. Is that in Adena, OH? Do you know if they offer any type of public or members-only open range or are their ranges used only for their training courses?

You take 151 off RT 7 and go 2 or 3 miles and take a side road off to the right. I was talking to someone a little bit ago that thought they were going to run IDPA this year. There is a contact at the bottom of the web page. Frank runs the range. I think they used to have a membership but I don't know what they do now.

Another place to shoot IDPA is Hancock County Sportsmen near Weirton. http://hcp.idpa.home.comcast.net/~hcp.idpa/

A little more of a drive is IDPA at Fort Harmar near Marietta. http://www.fortharmar.com/ Neither web site is real up to date but has enough info to get you started. IDPA will start at those clubs in March or April.

Wow. I remember going to the Miami RPC range with my Dad in the early 70s when he had just started shooting NRA highpower again. Been almost 40 years...
