Bolt chatter is minimal on the Uzi because of advanced primer ignition. It’s not the telescopic bolt, it’s the advanced primer ignition that softens the blow of the gigantic heavy bolt.

You just said something that finally got all the way through. I wasn't tracking the first time.
I've done a lot of Uzi next to MP5 and I always seem to notice the Uzi is a bit nosier. When doing subgun 101 I always start people on the Uzi and move them to the MP5 simply because I think the Uzi (open bolt) gives people a more complete understanding of the concept of SMGs.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
