Ok, now that I have had a chance to mess around with it, I like it, good upgrade, going to get a LaRue lower for the standard 6.5 upper.

Fwiw, the 13.5 ss 308 mws with can is about the same weight as a scar have with extended rail and aim point.

Not sure, it was 1800 for the chassis and a 6.5cm barrel with the mil discount. Maybe 1100.

Damn it all. I had just decided that a .308 gas gun was to expensive for my theoretical "someday" budget (had a budget bolt gun build planned instead), now I'm back to needing an MWS like I had planned all along...Plus I keep seeing people get far better than expected groups with these LMT rifles....

Idiot question- what is the green thing you have wrapped around the rail on the painted upper w/ bipod?

The green thing is called a sniper skid plate, triad tactical sells them.

In short they are nice for shooting off hard surfaces that are don't lend themselves to using a bipod. Helps grip, controls bounce, helps with follow up shots, nice piece of gear.

Yeah, really like the mloc upper, looking forward to taking it out.

Interesting concept. Cost less than I'd have thought too.
Surprised I've never really seen them around, given the ungodly amount of time I've spent (mainly drooling) on SH....

    The M-lok looks really nice.

I wish I could justify upgrading my slick rails.

How do you like the Scar-H in comparison?

I'm a little curious about the scope and rings on the mlok LPV pictured?

    Trijicon Accupower 1-8x28.

Not exactly sure about the rings. Looks like Leupold Mark 4.
