jtbo311, tell me what parts you used and work in did in your rebuilding and building it a MEU-SOC type clone?

Mr. Green:
If you want to drool over some really nice 1911s (though some folks say they are antiquated), gander over to the Louderthanwords booth at the SHOT show and handle those 1911s by Harrison Customs, Heirloom Precision, Chuck Rogers, Stan Chen, Don Williams and Ned Christensen. After that, you won't look at a factory or semi custom 1911 the same way.
A gunsmith did most of the work years ago with Ed Brown parts. A couple of years ago I had the factory sight replaced with Novaks. All I did was swap out the rear sight with a 10-8, shaved the trigger down a tad (it was sticking in the frame), break down some sharp edges on the front of the trigger and the safety, fit an Ed Brown "drop in" match barrel, and refinish it.

That is a sweet Dan Wesson!

End the cycle of hatred, don't give them a tomorrow.
Going back way old school. Colt WWI repro. The fit & finish on this is outstanding, no rattles, nice & tight. If it shoots half as well as it looks I'll be one happy camper.
I love that Dan Wesson! Looks very nice and clean.
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”
