It's Getting Worse: BLM to develop armed wing

And, no, I don't advocate any violently racist org to arm themselves whatever their color. I remember going to a Scotish festival in LA some years ago and seeing a bunch of guys with short hair and swastikas tatted all over themselves. I was thinking these guys are one bad thought away from killing someone. I don't get good vibes from neo-nazis and I don't get good vibes from BLM either.
Agree with what you said 100%.

I actually had bad vibes at the range yesterday from a dude. He was 6’4” and maybe weighed 140 lbs soaking wet. Very tatted, hard to age, and a mouth full of rotten and missing teeth. He kept waving around a 7” AR pistol with a binary trigger.

Ultimately, he shot a dude yesterday. He fired one round in binary mode, held the trigger down so that it wouldn’t reset, and proceeded to get behind the line to walk to a different bench. He ended up releasing/resetting the trigger to fire a second round into the bench which a guy in the next lane caught quite a bit of lead.

The man took off running. I followed with binos to get a plate number. He, for some reason, didn’t want to stick around for the authorities. I came back to render aide. Fortunately, only tissue injuries. One fragment shattered his eye protection.

Vibes certainly are there for a reason.

I have no problem with everyone exercising their 2A rights. But the calls to exercise them because police are attempting to stop them from committing violence is wrong.

Protesters are flipping out looking at the lock down protests in MI, saying they didn't get arrested because they were white. In reality, they didn't get arrested because they weren't brandishing their weapons and weren't trying to burn the place down. It was actually "peaceful".

These groups with a sudden interest in the 2A are looking at past armed protests and equating the presence of guns with the lack of arrests. If they mix their present "loot what you can, burn what you can't" procedures with a line of armed individuals thinking it will allow them to do it free of consequence, everyone is going to have a bad time.

I understand the reasoning of the Black Panthers to seek armed defense, I understand the reasoning of BLM seeking armed defense and so long as you do it within the confines of defending yourself or other innocents I not only don't have a problem with that I completely support it even if I'm not crazy about "race based" groups as a practice.

But once you cross the line into criminal activity and use firearms to victimize innocent people well you are just another criminal and I have zero sympathy for you any more than I do for criminal members of the KKK or other race based hate groups.
    The keyword is defense.

The problem is that eventually these groups go from a struggle for equality and liberty to a quest for power over others.

Indeed. Where was the rangemaster calling out Meth Mike's repeated Four Rules violation and showing him the door?

That's the quandry though. Saying they might eventually go from peaceful and law abiding and just defending themselves to a quest for power and violence can theoretically apply to everyone, so limiting their access to firearms inevitably leads to limiting everyone elses.

It’s an unmanned range, outdoor range on government property. I have been known to run people off, myself. I was having a good day and was trying not to engage with the guy to ask him to leave. I wholeheartedly regret, “letting it go” now.

Better a Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) defense on a small arms scale than one side having all the power and the other side on the receiving end of oppression, I think.

I read his post as saying the exact opposite of what you understood.
