I know shadow ops does shipping in batches so it may be a bit of a wait. But I must have ordered 3 weeks ago and still no shipping email notice and I can't get them to answer an email to save my life. Was this your experiance as well?

Mine shipped a week after order. Perhaps I got lucky in timing? Not sure. The barfcom thread I'm guessing increased sales, along with the good price (some forums had a discount code that likely boosted sales further).

For most it is magazine compatibility. More SR25/DPMS pattern magazine options nowadays than the AR10 specific mags.

I must be confused: I was under the impression that a Mega could support both the Armalite style barrel and bcg, and non-Armalite mags at the same time. Is that not the case? (If not, good to know).

Yep, I'm trying to keep everything in the SR25 / DPMS pattern realm. I'm not sure if Knight's sells their BCG for the SR25 separate or not. I haven't seen it "officially" for sale but I have seen them from time to time.

Thanks Nick. I admit I'm interested in the WMD NiB-x. I have 3 of their 5.56 offering (auto). Although I haven't run thousands of rounds I've got several hundred on an LMT MRP (10.5" SBR) and several on a Noveske 10.5" suppressed and unsurpressed. The finish does indeed clean easier but I'm still unsure about the wear... So far so good.

The differences between DPMS style and Armalite / KAC barrels is the gas port location and gas system length. All the extensions are the same , dimensionally the bolts and carriers are the same and interchangeable as complete assemblies. As for bolts and carriers, DPMS style carriers have non spring loaded firing pins and a slightly different gas relief port setup. Armalite carriers have spring loaded pins.
