For **my** needs, 0-400 yds I still prefer my 6X K16i over anything else out there. In a Badger Ordnance 1.700” mount with a 12:00 o’clock Scope cap or ring mount adapter for an ACRO or a Holosun 509T.
An offset mount works okay for me too, but I like the 12:00 position best. The elevation turrent height on the Kahles is 9/16”, where my Steiner 1-4 elevation turrent is 11/16” high.
If my vision was 20/20 instead of 20/40 corrected in my shooting eye, I moght just get the 1-4X Elcan at 23. 2 ounces wth an ACRO P2 or Holoson 509T on it’s Pic rail on top of it, A 3.5 or 4X AGOG with a MRDS on top might also work for me. But I absolutely **need** a diopter adjustment to sharpen and focus the reticle to my eye. I also still very much like my old Steiner 1-4X scope.

I’ve ran a Trijicon 1-4, Leupold 1-6, and the razor in multigun. The 10ish ounce difference, on a nearly 10lb rifle is not that big of a deal IMO.
At work, I’ve never carried my rifle for more than a couple of hours, but that one has a red dot. Yet again, with 40lbs of gear, I don’t think the 10oz difference would’ve mattered even if the patrol or perimeter or whatever was longer…
Because many of us aren't bench rest shooters. Repeatedly shouldering your rifle from a low or high ready whilst running drills for hours is very different...

No, but I can tell a great deal of difference in the balance and handling between a 17oz optic compared to a 24oz optic.

As someone who carries a gun and lives in kit for a living…ounces matter as they tend to add up

Razor is 21.5. Kahles is 16.9.
4.6 oz difference. Whether that matters, and how important that is, is evidently subjective.
To me? No. If it did, I suppose I could make up for it by leaving my phone behind.

Crazy question, does anybody know of a LPVO that has an adjustable parallax? It seems most are fixed at 100 meters.

Spoken like a bench rest shooter.

I think the March 1-10x24mm has it on some of the models. "M" variants I believe.

That being said, I found myself liking the lack of adjustment as it is more inline with the speed/simplicity of the optic at the high magnification. At least in the 8x line of S&B's, Kahles...and maybe the CQBSS Mk8 and ATACR it was not a factor that would hinder engagement out to the limitations of magnification. 8x is about the line for where it's required. NF figured out on their 10x's it's needed.

I dunno...I think it keeps me honest and square behind the optic knowing I can't fine tune it. I think one can make a case that presence and absence of that adjustability has pro's and con's. From a practical perspective, if one is going to have to fine tune parallax, might as well step up to higher mag/more powerful optic at that point...

What about the March F 1-10 shorty?

    https://marchscopes.com/scopes/d10sv24fiml/

If I understand correctly, daylight bright illumination, decent glass, decent reticle options, acceptable FOV (over 100ft at 1x), light weight, super small footprint. The only knock seems to be it needs proprietary mounting solution. What am I missing? I haven’t heard much at all about this.

    Specifically this reticle looks interesting:
