Do 6720s have a .750" gas journal now?

    https://colt.com/detail-page/clt-carb-lw-556-161-30rd

This pic suggests the current production have a different barrel profile now.

Anybody have hands on one of these yet? Is it the same barrel profile as the CE2000? (great profile imo)

    Chrome lined, rollmarks, etc?

Hoping Grant or another 'in the know' type might have some real info.

I noticed that a while ago myself and just figured they used a pic of a 6721 by mistake, or just out of laziness.

I love Colt rifles but I hate how they never list the details the gearheads like us want to know.

    Yep, that's a 6721.

6720 barrels are still .625 at the gas block.

Which part? That Colt's picture is of a 6721? Or that the barrel of the 6720 is .625 at the gas block?

Just looking at the profile of the barrel of the rifle in the picture is all we have to go off of, so that's just a guess.

Any of the new 6720s that I have seen have had lightweight barrels that were .625 at the gas block. Grant also has 6720 barrels in stock, so maybe he can chime in about their profile. > http://www.gandrtactical.com/Colt-AR...FSB_p_330.html

I have 6720s. They are LW full length, with the smaller gas block. Most recent purchase was a month or two ago.

I'll bet someone at Colt would answer the question. Though I may be wrong.
