My Colt super auto with blown case head. It locked the gun up good and the case had to be tapped out of the barrel but once cleared and the pistol reassembled it continued on. Only damage was a ruined mag follower. Case marked .38 Super +P, not loaded to IPSC major. Probably just a weak or bad case.

No, it's a standard Colt non-ramped barrel. I've run some close to major PF ammo though it using a medium speed powder with no issues. The ammo in question here was just below minor PF [123000] but I suspect a weak case and b) the fast powder I was using [VV N310]. No more N310 and furthermore it runs better with N340 anyway.
