Two plain work horses. Some folks like plastic. Some prefer steel.

First up is a beater. I bought it to shoot a lot and treat like a lawn mower. A standard blue Norinco, I re-worked it myself as far as tuning and polishing. Original parts remaining are the slide and sights, firing pin and spring, and extractor; frame and plunger tube; mainspring housing; sear spring and thumb safety; grip screws and bushings; and magazine catch detent and spring.

1920 Colt Government Model (commercial production) I completely re-built.

Just scored this full-rail beauty to go with it's partial rail TRP Operator brother. Anyone with connections @ Springfield Custom Shop? I'm wanting to have it gone through then refinished and a buddy of mine used them for his TRP Operator and I really like how it turned out.

Edit: scratch that, I just opened up Springfield Custom Shop's menu and they have greatly reduced the services they offer. Looks like I'm in the market for a decent 1911 custom shop at a decent price to do some mods. My buddy had his done back in 2014 I believe and it was a simple check of a few boxes and a credit card number to get one beautiful firearm back a short while later with everything a boy could want. Looks like they don't dabble in that sort of thing anymore. Bummer.

I'm not fat, I'm tactically padded.

Supposedly they’re just doing it until they catch up on the backlog. Who knows if that’s true or when it’ll be though. I want them to open back up, they did a great job on my CRG.
