We really don't know yet what works and what doesn't with COVID-19 though. I'd be willing to take a 60+ year old proven drug (not just used for malaria) given prophylactically and see what happens than be given it as a last-ditch effort when I'm damn near death and then hear someone say "See, it didn't work!".
Agree about India's numbers though.
