Yes, they're dead, beyond dead. They're also grossly outdated and inferior to current offerings. Such as (look below) Glock.

Not much to F*ck up, its a pistol for general issue to the Canadian army. It's going to be shot less than your average LEO gun. Their high speed guys that actually use them carry something else.

I am fairly sure I have read there were lots of unused pistols in inventory. Also thought they were already destroyed.

Not sure if that is somehow merged from the late Stephen Camp's HiPower forum or not, but that seems like a thread from there while he was alive.

Don't underestimate the stupidity of brass and politicians. A single action semi auto, hammer fired, with a pathetic manual safety and magazine disconnect. Yeah, lots there to be improved upon, like all of it.

I'm aware of the high speed guys and their kit. Have had the privilege of chatting with a few past and present members.

All Glock has to do is make a G17 in the same green used by their own C8 carbines and sold ! What French pol could resist color coordinated weapons?

From what I read on Camp's Hi Power board, the Inglis Hi Powers were allegedly some of the most durable ones made(possibly the most durable) due to John Inglis Company's manufacturing technique.

The biggest issues, the tiny safety and magazine disconnect, were both easy to correct.

And that’s why you’d never make it in a government bureaucracy.

    Don’t worry. Neither would I.

Easy button, just order G17's and a gazillion gallons of Gunkote Napa Green. There's such a broad range of color-samples in "Canadian Average Green" that nobody will ever know the difference. LOL

Colt Canada can always bring back the Colt 2000 since no licensing agreement or development would be needed...
