Not feeling sad at all. The issue is sentience. I know something about that...do "scientists"?

By the way, I'm long past worrying about having a good look in these parts.

LOL. Obviously no scientist can understand something like sentience. You have to have a personal relationship with Jesus to understand.

It's always good to be happy.

Anyway, concerning "understanding" sentience, it would be exceedingly helpful to have a personal relationship with Jesus, since "in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." Colossians 2:3, so as to not to fall down the mental rat hole of thinking "men" can make a machine alive. The problem with some scientists isn't that they need Jesus to know something about sentience, it's that they think they ARE Jesus...it's alive and I did it!!! What they don't seem to understand is that sentience is inextricably connected to things that are actually alive. Machines aren't alive and never will be. Maybe, on Star Trek, but not for real.

I have no problem with things like AI, even the name isn't that much of a problem. I think men should explore as much of God's creation as possible, come up with new inventions to help mankind. But scientists make mistakes, sometimes real doozies. This is another issue where man's pride blinds him to the truth. They simply can not create life.

Sentience doesn't have to be "life" and life doesn't always mean sentience, although I think it exists more than we realize.

That said, your specific belief system precludes any kind of "self awareness" being able to exist outside of the creation of your creator, so there is almost no point to you being in this discussion.

I won't go so far as suggesting your unwillingness to accept the possibility of sentience in any other form equates you your hatred of sentience, but certainly a wholesale rejection of the possibility of it ever existing is at play.

I don't think any form of AI, now or in the future, will be "alive" unless it somehow creates a biological host for itself, but that isn't necessary for it to be "self aware." If I understand correctly, you believe in a creator that has no "biological form" but you consider that creator to be "alive."

Sentient AI, like COVID, has perpetually been two weeks away, for my entire existence.

    Google Chatbot: iTs aLiVe
Human Baby in Womb: jUsT a CLuMp oF CeLLs

I’m beyond ready for Jesus to come back.

Sentience doesn't have to be "life". Well, we just REALLY disagree.

This is just a different form of pagan animism: the attribution of a soul to plants, inanimate objects, and natural phenomena.....Attributing sentience to machines.....

Nice try. I don't hate sentience, I practice it a lot. I thank my God. What I don't like is people trying to deceive me.
