I’m guessing they stick to the 6920 and 6720 for complete guns in the non-NFA market.
If any indication from Brownell’s, maybe see the 6960 CCU, 6933, and 6921 uppers?
Who knows what they will do. It is Colt.

This is Colt we're talking about here. They'll continue to churn out FSB guns with a dumb profile and carbine length gas systems instead of just making a pile of 6960's and limited runs of clones.

^^^That’s the kind of stuff that will make Colt money.
The vaunted SOCOM profile in the correct 14.5” length, free-floated from the factory with a quality handguard. A bit pricy, but clearly it will well.
Yeah and you'll notice they are clearing out Centurion 12" CMR rails in the process (they aren't the MLOK rails as on the CCU and 6920-R Trooper models).
Nice setup and if it was an MLOK rail, I would be far more tempted.
ETA - I know the Apex words say "MLOK" but that is a CMR, non-MLOK rail.

Or Centurion offered them up at a discount to help clear out inventory - since they have a business relationship with Colt (re: CCU / Trooper). Doesn't really matter, it's just business.
Either way, it's not a bad deal or rail, but the ad isn't entirely accurate and since I already have a spare Colt upper (6960-CCU Upper from Brownells that sees time on my 6920-R lower and CM762), I won't be jumping at that price point w/ CMR rail. I have the CCU setup with a Pro and 3x while those two rifles have LPVOs, so it's easy to swap over with no drama if I want to shoot with a RDS for awhile.
Ya that’s a little odd that they say M-lock, but after looking very closely it is a regular CMR rail in the picture. Thanks for pointing that out because you have to look closely to pick that up

Yeah, I don't think so. I have an unfired "2013" U.S. Government Property marked M4A1 Colt SOCOM carbine and unfired 6960 I'm hanging onto until the price is right. Not gonna dump $900 more on an upper with a handguard like that particular one.
