    DD CHF barrel accuracy

Hello, I am considering buying a few Daniel Defense Cold Hammer Forged barrels in 5.56 and 6.8 SPC. I am curious what kind of accuracy you have noted in these barrels with good ammo. I assume these barrels are VERY good but I have not owned or shot any yet and would greatly appreciate your input.

Also, I would prefer the gas port hole to be on the small side of reliable since I do not care for over-gassing. Do the DD barrels have a reputation for gas ports on the smaller side?

    Thanks for your time.

    Thanks,

From my experience the DD 16" 4150 steel, chrome lined, 1:7 barrels are around 2MOA, with a red dot carbine, which is very good IMO. I will also say that I have seen no measurable difference in accuracy in my CHF DD barrel as opposed to my non-CHF DD barrels. They both shoot equally well.

    Thanks Surf!

I figured as much. That is fine for a 6.8 wild boar blaster with a Aimpoint T-1 or H-1.

    Thanks again,
    Darin
