13.7 barrel with be Meyers flash hider

There’s some things that I really like about Noveske products, and some things that I would prefer to be different.
While the 13.7" offering does do okay for most, some may prefer some changes. Without pinning and keeping it an SBR can work well for some in concept. Pinning a MD onto this to avoid the stamp may compromise some things that may be better suited with more barrel length with a shorter MD.
A non pinned SBR can suit a role without a can pretty well. The additional drive from a possible can may over gas that option.
When the KAC URX 3.0 was available, a desirable combination was a 13.5"ish barrel made from a longer mid gassed Noveske barrel cut down to length and/or profiled with reduced porting to suit a user better if a can may have been an option.
When the base barrel is gassed hard without a can, how would you expect the gassing to be with a possible can? You can get into a point in the function curves that gives you additional power available, just to beat up parts and reduce reliability among other things.

Wouldn’t adding a can to an already over gassed setup make matters worse?

I’m not to educated with cans since I live in one of “those” states

Maybe one day will see SBR’s and suppresors here but I doubt it

Yes, a can may simulate an addition of barrel length for a given combination. The additional drive from a can in terms of carrier velocities does differ from “blowback”. They are mutually not the same, but unfortunately referred to as so.
