    More goodies arrived today.

Sighted and zeroed at 100yards with 23 grains of IMR 4064, 69 grains SMK bullets, base to ogive length of 1.888" (about .020 off the land), Winchester new cases and CCI 400 primers.
    1,2, and 3 are sighters.

I picked up my 223 Monday from the ffl. I was kinda disappointed in the stock. It's really nothing like the stock on the 308 5r ss model 700 like I was expecting. The hand rail is flat on top by the barrel which isn't the most comfy, and the check weld has a notch cut in the front to clear the bolt ( cosmetic only).
Now to send it off to be threaded.

Have you tried any other bullets beside the 69gr smk? My target 223 shoots 69 gr smk the best but I was wanting to use this gun for hunting. I didn't know if the 1/9 twist would stabilize longer/heavier bullets, especially through a suppressor. I was thinking maybe the Barnes 70gr tsx or 62 gr tsx.
