The other night I was at the range shooting Independence 5.56 55 grain ammo and was getting several blown primers. I tried to do some research and found most causes are over-pressured ammo, generally reloads. Never had that problem before. I know Independence is a sub of Federal so I figured they'd be good to go.
Is there anything else that can cause primers to blow? And can it damage the rifle? I have a 14.5 BCM midlength.
