I have a few questions about my Z5-RS.

The rear drum, does it account for elevation on the four sight holes like the G3, or are they just different sizes but all the same elevation setting?

I am wanting an ambi safety, but do I need a different trigger housing? I am eventually going to change to a US made trigger pack when my form 1 comes back, so should I just it as a bundle? I am left handed and am not a fan of the finger groves from the factory. By looks (haven't handled one so dont know if it would feel better to my hand) the navy one would fit my hand better.

    Whats the FBI trigger pack/housing?

    Thanks for the info

In German MP5s and 94s, the rear drum aperatures are same plane/elevation, different size. Not sure if the Turkish followed this or used a G3 rear drum.

HK parts sells an ambi selector for the SEF type fcg. There are Navy profile SEF lower housings that will allow you to use your fire control frame. Or go true ambi and you’ll need a complete MP5 FBI pack/lower.

MKE MP5 rear sights are like the others, just changes aperture sizes- I usually use the biggest unless I'm going for accuracy then I use the next one down.

HKparts sells FBI style ambi lowers now with US made parts for 922r-

Is there a difference between the fbi housing and the navy housing?

FBI is 0, 1 (safe and semi), Navy is 0, 1, F (safe, semi, full)

I shot 350 rds through it. 6 boxes of different brands and weights. Then 50 115 gr HAP reloads I use for competition. I’m hitting 5” to 6” low at 25 meters and I’ve screwed rear drum all the way up as high as it will go. Currently using an AAC evo suppressor but have a 3 lug gemtech raptor ii suppressor on order. Without a suppressor I’m hitting 4” high.

I’ve tried to find a new hk sight insert that the front post is cut a little shorter but they seem to all be the same height.

I’m concerned because the drum is barely on and loose on the rear.

So... is 25 meters the standard zeroing distance?
Should I have a front sight insert milled shorter, and if so how much?

Or should I just wait for my suppressor and see if the 3 lug mount has a POI shift.

I zero at 25 yards, but some use 50, YMMV

Do not file down the front sight, it defeats the purpose of the diopter sights, i.e. circle within a circle. Call Zenith, they have great customer service and can help you get it fixed.

I own a Zenith with the 8 inch barrel I think it is, and the "pistol" stock. I have paperwork to SBR it, buts its not necessary, the stock is good. Mine has run like a scalded dog. Cant tell how happy I am with mine. The only thing I don't like is you can run 300 rounds without blinking an eye. I have a Ti-Rant 9mm can in process as well. This has cost me dearly but it is awesome.

Please don't beat up their sights, you may want to consider a T1 or T2 or Sig Romeo5 T1 knock off. Thats a great optic for the dollar.
