    half-way there

    New here, figured I would start it off right.



    spikes ar15 lower
    Stainless Steel LPK - from aimsurplus
    Magpul msa moe sling attachment point
    troy battle axe stock (black)
    troy battle axe grip (black)
    bcm mil spec stock hardware
    Magpul ASAP sling plate


    I also have Troy dioptic RBUIS for this.


    I will probably get a dissy upper, do not know kind, PSA, Spikes or Bushy...

    I personally think PSA makes great budget gear and Spikes seems to make nice mid tier stuff .... but unless you're just building this for plinking you are going to get reamed on this forum for those choices.... especially the Bushmaster. Have you read the sticky's on this subject? If you know what your getting and don't mind, well more power to you imo

    But, well.... you may have to watch out for this:

    If you're going to want a Dissy with a 16" barrel, go with a mid length gas system instead of the shorter carbine gas system.

    You'll have a lower gas port pressure and a better running gun. Makes no sense to run a carbine gas system when it's going to be under the handguard anyway.

    you can search the stickys, you would do much better with a daniel defense, bcm, or colt upper. There is so much useful info on this site. welcome to the forum

    Thanks for the replies.

    This isn't my fire AR and its not my last.

    Not saying I know everything, but I'm not new to the game and I was just throwing stuff out there...wasn't going to list every single thought in my head.

    This is a backup/trainer, as my primary is a scar.

    Like I said I'm still up in the air and doing research to find exactly what I want. Hence why this is just a lower.
