A stupid question maybe
but can somebody tel me what's the purpose of of the serrations on the front plate
of the Surefire SOCOM Monster ?

I sure can. we had some guys over seas that were going into tight areas in homes and would at times have to do a chest strike with the muzzle to do a split second assessment of good guy or bad guy when they entered and were with in arms reach. we added the teeth for this as a non lethal means of controlling a person or breaking out windows (why they have chisel profile).
