Anyone know where to find the A5 system for sale? Vltor never seems to be in stock.

Though do note it comes with the A5H0 buffer, not the A5H2 buffer that VLTOR ships their kit with.

My question is how is the A5 system better than an H buffer of comparable weight along with a springco heavy carbine spring. It seems to me that both would accomplish the same thing, but then again, why would Vltor bother making the A5 if that were true.

    Thanks.
I have run both combos. I find the A5 is a bit more "transparent" to suppression, while offering a larger margin of error with weak ammo. In short, the performance envelope is larger.

Or you can get the BCM A5 8-position RE and Vltor A5H2 buffer from BCM and a Sprinco Green spring, do whatever you want for the castle nut and end plate. If you want a heavier buffer Vltor has their A5H3 in stock.

    From the horse's mouth:

    Hello Cattywhompous,

The A5H0 buffer is very similar in weight to the milspec H buffer, and is the recommended buffer weight for optimal performance on a milspec AR15.

    Thanks for checking with us,

    Bravo Company USA, Inc
