    Regardless of whether or not someone is a fan of 1911's, hell even a fan of firearms in general, that is still pretty freakin' cool. ".....the first mechanical devices to be made from a meteor..." Just awesome.

    Interesting display pieces, but I doubt they would last long under use. They come from a nickel iron meteorite.

    Also, is the slide stop on the wrong side of the pistol?

    They look amazingly pretty, but... 1) they've got to be ungodly heavy, especially with those grips; 2) the sights look more beat up than my 26-year-old G17; and 3) what the $%^& is up with the trigger face?

    Nope. Right there with you.

    I'd rather have a couple pistols I could shoot a lot, and a meteorite I could display. Plus a lot of money in the bank lol.
