    Remove 3 prong Flash Hider

I have an SG551 with a rotex flash hider with no wrench flats that I am struggling to remove. JDI Firearms has told me that my barrel is threaded M14x1 LH.

I have the barrel secured in a vise with barrel jaws, with some suede strips to avoid marring the barrel. I've tried using a strap wrench, I just can't get the flash hider to budge.

I've looked all around, and the flash hider is not welded on.

How do I get this off? I've been considering 3d printing something to fit inside the flash hider prongs to try and twist it off that way.

This is the only relevant thread that I can find for something similar, that suggests using a strap wrench, or a pipe wrench (not going that route, don't want to mar it)
