I thought it was 8 the same as the M14....

    I'm gonna have to check!

An A2 front sight post is 0.070" wide and then get your sight radius to calculate the MOA, which M4 length or M16?

If I am right, I worked out the MOA of my front sight for my SBR with 15" sight radius to 16MOA

I'd like to know carbine length, midlength, and rifle length MOAs. Thanks!

You will have to work the midlength out for yourself.

M4 36.8cm sight radius and front sight of 0.070" means 16.6MOA
M164A 50.1cm sight radius and front sight of 0.070" means 12.2MOA

I think I am right but wouldn't like to bet on it.

MOA width of front sight calculation:

    ____________21600_____________
(sight radius" x 2pi) / front sight width" = MOA

    for the M4
    _________21600__________
    (14.488" x 6.28318) / 0.070" = 16.609MOA

I just ran the numbers for my midlength but I have the front BUIS mounted on a 12" DD Lite rail so the sight radius is longer than a midlength 17.5" sight radius means 13.8MOA
