Osight has several interesting dots for great prices. The Osight C is the direct competitor to the 507 Comp for $135.
The other REALLY interesting sight is the Osight X. It’s even bigger (taller window) than the 507 Comp and had a magnetic charging cover for the sight that displays charger and sight power levels.
I couldn’t take it anymore and ordered a Osight C.
My last foray into cheap dots was the C&H direct mount MOS. It’s certainly less refined than a Holo, so I was worried the Osight would be the same. But these sights seem a lot better.
If it’s anything like their flashlights it will be nice! I have pretty much replaced all my surefire and stream light handheds with Olights. Yes their packaging is very nice too.
I have bee wanting to try one for not a duty gun so let me know how you like it. The reviews are somewhat mixed on them
I got my Osight C mounted up to one of my G22s with a 357 sig barrel. Osight left and 507 Comp right. The Comp is a monster and I love it. But if it’s just a little too much for someone, the C definitely trims some bulk.
I noticed after taking these pics that there’s a slight gap (.001" or so) between the plate and the middle of the Osight. It’s like the front mounting studs on the plate are taller than the holes in the sight.
I’m sure the plate isn’t the issue because that tiny gap isn’t there on the 507 comp with the FC plate.
I didn’t take anything apart to inspect closer, and I shot about 75 rounds of 357 sig yesterday. No issues with the sight moving or coming loose, so I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. But I’ll keep shooting a few more weeks before I forget about it.
If they’re built like Olight, hard pass. I had the plastic tailcap on a PL-1 II light crumble into dust from no more intense load than being racked onto a rail and stored in a duffelbag for a year.
Really? That’s the first bad Olight feedback I’ve read.
I’m not jumping the gun on calling this sight “wonderful” yet, I did certainly check some yout00be videos before buying. Only complaints were an occasional blem in the glass for the battery models.
