“It’s going to give us a platform and a trajectory to fundamentally rebuild this program, have everyone reapply for their benefit, make sure that everyone that’s taking a taxpayer-funded benefit through SNAP or food stamps, that they literally are vulnerable, and they can’t survive without it,” Rollins added.
Despite the regular recertification process, Rollins alleged that the program was “corrupt,” adding that 120 Americans had been recently arrested for committing SNAP fraud, a reference to last week’s bust in Ohio.
Rollin’s crackdown comes after SNAP benefits were thrown into chaos after the Trump administration ordered states not to make full food stamp payments for November as the government shutdown ended.
That’s the minimum action needed for this problem. I remember in my younger years getting stuck in line behind some illegal parasite who was abusing this type of program and watching them drive out of the parking lot in a nicer vehicle than I drove at the time.

I recall years ago some chick I think from Philly? got popped collecting welfare from 10 or 12 states. She was flying to pick up her monies, i belive she’d been pulling in 18k a month or some crazy thing. I hope they chucked her in a woodchipper. No telling how many others are scamming us like that. Plus all the illegals who shouldn’t get a dime.
I truly do feel for those who genuinely need these programs. I’m far less opposed to helping Americans who need help than sending money to Israel.
I dont see what reapplying is going to do if they don’t have more budget and manpower targeted at enforcement.
