There is a guy on TOS who was issued a DD MK18 uppers, he had pictures and everything and the barrel was def made by DD.

I don't remember if they were M4 or M4A1 lowers, but one of the two.

I received my gemtech g5 suppressor today, and they sent me a regular g5 mount instead of the mk18 adaptor I ordered. Can I shim out the standard mount, and make it work or will I have to wait for the mk18 mount which is 4-6 weeks out?

Every MK18 upper I've seen was Colt, with a RIS II installed on it.

About a year ago I got a bunch of new ones. I threw out all the boxes (DD). Each one has a Colt upper, barrel, and BCG. KAC front sight and QD flash suppressor, with CQD sling mount on the rail.

Every SEAL I know is running KAC for the Mk18 with an AAC can for the Mk17.

I don't know any of the Über SEALs at DEVGRU, for what it's worth.

While everyone speaks about the DD-railed Mark 18 CQB uppers, why isn't any mention made of the Larue-railed uppers?

We had a number in Baghdad from 2007-08 (including my Command Sergeant Major's) built on M16A1 lowers with SOPMOD stock. I don't recall the (stainless) barrel maker.

I have seen the Mk18 uppers issued with Larue, KAC RAS, and now DD RISII rails on them. I would say the Larue is prob the most rare of the three.
