Colt 6933 lower with LMT 10.5 " upper, slightly updated from last pics.
Tango Down rear sling mount and a Surefire M500A are the additions I believe.
Put it up to the new Benelli M2 SBS, which feels like a feather compared to the SBR, I know it's apples and oranges but it's just really noticeable.
When I get done shaving the PG stock they'll be about the same OAL.
To completely hijack my post, need a sling rec on the shotgun.
What i have probably no workee real well.

Yup! It's the newish Troy DI. My only complaint is that it's pretty sharp, hence the Magpul XTMs.

Paulinski,
What length LaRue rail are you using on that rifle? 10" or 11"? I can't tell from the picture, but since you state the barrel is a Noveske 12.5 tube, then I'm guessing that is an 11" rail:)
Paulenski, what brand of knife is that with your SBR?

Chase G,
Check your PM inbox, I just sent you a message so as not to further de-rail this thread. You asked a great question and I'm sure there are people here who would love to give you their perspective on this...however the SBR picture thread is really supposed to be for pics. You would probably have much better luck with info if you post your question as a separate thread in the NFA section. Sorry if this reply sounds snarky over the internet, it's not supposed to. Just tryin' to help you find the info you seek.:D
BTW, welcome to M4Carbine

SilentButDeadly,How Loud is the KAC M4 QDSS-NT4 Surpresser? Do you need Hearing Protection with it?
It's not bad at all. I can shoot it in an indoor range, without hearing protection, no problems at all. Outdoors is even better. It has a lower tone than some of the other suppressors I have used, which makes it more pleasant to shoot IMO.

Here is my Colt SBR. I did not pay any tax on it(that part was covered). It works. It is loud. I am accurate with it. It is light. All you need is an Eotech and a marking device, no silencer, no fluffy video game bullcrap that adds weight and looks cool and wastes money. Skills are earned, not paid for or compensated for. Waste your money on ammo and targets.

Recent experiment with my HK416.
Surefire FA5556K FS/Suppressor mount installed by a friend, installed an X300 to free up some rail space so I can grip the weapon farther forward on the hand guard, moved my M.I. sling mount farther forward so it does interfere with my BFG/Redi-Mag so much, installed an old A1 grip just because I like them.

PVS 14, not autogated, gen 3 clean tube. IPSC guy built it for me, had it over a year. I use it with a helmet mount and a larue mount. This allows me to leave it on the gun for HD and move it to a helmet to use with the laser. I dont really like it on the weapon for HD so I have been re training with the way I use it. The thing about night vision is it is a GODSEND and should be in everyone's preps, however you have to make adequate time to sort out how you are going to run them and practice doing so in different weather settings. My first night out with them it took me 10 minutes to get all my kit prepped to shoot. That would have been too long in a time of need. gen 3 stuff that is not stolen runs around 2 -5 k depending on features. Mine was at the lower end and has served me well. Wish I had a second set.

Am from Asia! Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry! Didn't mean that as a slam against Asians! :)
I should have been more specific about what I was referring to. There are people from Chinese companies that copy gear from US companies (like Magpul or LaRue) who use eBay to get samples. They often claim to be "collectors" of American military gear and firearms accessories. They find it easier to get stuff on eBay because a lot of these US companies don't ship stuff overseas, and it angers me that eBay seems to do nothing to stop this kind of stuff.
Again, I'm sorry if that came across as some sort of racist slur.

Great looking SBR JC! Very, very nice and clean! That is almost exactly what mine will look like, once I receive my form 1 in the mail in a month or so anyways. The only difference is that my LMT 10.5" has a 7" LaRue Tactical rail instead of the DD rail. Other than that, ours will look identical.
Do you by any chance know the exact timeline of your tax stamp process? From when you originally mailed the form 1 (or 4) off and when you received it back?
Oh and also, you say it's "almost" complete... What else are you going to add?

Thanks for the nice coments Paul... I got a great deal on the DD Lite Rail, otherwise it would have gotten a LaRue 7" FF Rail and our rifles would have been twin brothers... :D
Here is my timeline:
11/10/08 - Forms Mailed
11/17/08 - Check Cashed
01/09/09 - Application Assigned to investigator (Pending Status)
01/23/09 - Application Placed on Hold (forgot to include second copy of form 1 !!!)
02/03/09 - Form 1 approved
02/10/09 - Form 1 received
3 months total door to door (with my own mistake adding ~ 2 weeks)
I said that the build was almost complete as I am still waiting for a Magpul sling/receiver plate and a soft case for it... That is all !!!
I hope that helps...

Not really - even a 20 or 24" AR in Canada is restricted (range use only) and controlled by the gov like a NFA item down here. It requires a Possesion and Acquisition Certificate (which is rather simply but a PITA), and Range membership
Plus 5 round mag maximun for a centerfire semi-auto (or auto...)

true the only good thing about Canadian gun laws is the short barrel loop hole for rifles and shotguns. The limited to range use only does not bother me because I fire my AR at the range anyway. The 5 round mag limit on the other hand is one of our stupider laws. Yes Sir.
I'm sure someone else can elaborate or correct me, but I haven't even seen this upper with the 10.5 and FSB with the rail on the Noveske site.
I think the price is just about in line for the features it has.
The KAC rail covers fit on these rails better than they do my KAC rails!
They glide on without hardly contacting the surface but they aren't loose by any means.
I like how it came without the sling mount below the FSB. Damn thing just gets in the way for most people anyway.
Can't comment on shooting it as I just got it, and I'm not sure I will. :D
I'd rather screw up a unfired Colt 6933 than shoot the Noveske, since it is a full Noveske SBR now.
Better shot of the rail as it lacks detail in the rifle shot, due to my crappy portrait skills and no real lighting.
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_JAPdm6GhhJM/Scm1O-UlF1I/AAAAAAAAA10/Ucgj8-1WhyU/s800/IMG_6266.JPG
I'd have been all over one of those Noveskes had they only been 11.5" barrels. I just won't go shorter than 11.5 out of personal preference.
Mine....unfortunately, I've been able to shoot it very little :(

I'm waiting on the MBUS to be released so I can pick up a couple sets to complete builds. I'm a big fan of NF optics and that includes the 1-4. While the illumination isn't daylight bright, I don't have a problem with just the black reticle during high light.

Where did you get the krink flash hider for the 5.54?
1. It's not an AKS-74U component... the spec is different for the small-size assault rifles.
2. It's not really a FH, it's designed as more of a muzzle booster/backpressure increaser. The cone shape helps with the flash a bit.
3. I got it from AK-USA.
:)
My new SBR. Eotech is on loan from my Mid Length until my Larue Aimpoint mount arrives and the ML3 goes on the SBR.
http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e378/brad519/LMTSBR.jpg
My 556-to-552 SBR is almost complete and will be sent back to me sometime next week. The final smithing work is to weld the steel rail welded in place that was removed from a demilled 552 post-sample MG receiver. It will then go to the refinisher for phosphating and painting. Eventually this will wear an Aimpoint T-1 in LaRue mid-height mount. Not pictured is the Swiss Arms railed fore-end that I was fortunate to score from Larry Gaglio when he was clearing out all his SIG stuff a few months ago. It is a Swiss Arms product improved variant of the B&T 552 rail that is made from billet aluminum as opposed to the B&T which I seem to recall Larry telling me started life as a casting.
This rifle started life a one of the first series of 556 rifles. I sent it to Frank Hatten at Antique and Modern Arms. He modified the 556 receiver and barrel to 552 spec, then used the parts from my 552 kit (which was also purchased from Larry Gaglio, but about 3 years ago).
More pics to follow once it is complete, but here are a few that Frank sent me of the build in progress:

Thanks Greg. I am very excited to get it back after refinishing. I am also going to install the Swiss-made collapsing/folding buttstock from my 556 Classic. The muzzle is threaded in M16 pattern on my rifle, so an AAC blackout flash hider will be installed to allow the use of my M4-2k suppressor. I think I need to just bite the bullet and order a T-1 in LaRue mount now in anticipation of this being completed.
When I first started getting into the SIG 55x series around 11 years ago, I never dreamed that I would own a 552. I am just tickled that I can own this.

I can't wait to see the pics of it fully kitted out with Aimpoint, suppressor, etc. You will have a pretty rare jewel there.

Good Job!
gotm4, tell me what sling is that on your SBR M4? What brand name upper Receiver did you use with the Colt barrel on your wife's SBR M4? I need a upper with M4 Feedramp to go with a Colt 14.5 barrel.

Here's mine.
Stag N8CQB upper on a Canadian made billet lower done in tan ceracoat.
Assorted Magpul bits, Troy modular combat grip and an Aimpoint T-1 in LaRue LT660. Just need to get a sling, light, and a tan MBUS rear(very hard to find any of the good stuff up here), and it's probably done.

I'm really happy with the upper. No problems with it at all, and have run it on a lower at work on the 'hi-speed' setting. Works terrific! :)
Sig Sauer 556 Pistol. Form-1 sent in on Friday. Rear diopter housing welded in place, just waiting on steel rail to be rosette welded in place like on the Swiss guns, then it's off to the refinisher. Have a Swiss lower just waiting to be mated with this barreled upper once all the work is done:

Love the sight, had some other fellow shooters that were raving about the sight. The gun shoots like a dream. I'm really shocked how tight the groups are. Need a lot more time behind the wheel to see how it's going to hold up.

I'm certain it'll be loud. We double up on the hearing protection anyway with SureFire ear plugs and either Sordin or ProEars electronic muffs.

They are out and available directly from www.PrimaryWeapons.com They make one that'll fit KAC cans, the YHM Phantom cans and GemTech G5/M4-96D as well. I'm hoping they'll make them for the 51 tooth AAC M4-2000s eventually.

It's a little kydex doo-dad I got from Raven Concealment; it lets you index the tailcap switch on a G2 so you know positively if it's armed.
(From an image on pg 45)
I'd like something like that for my G2 so it wouldn't get activated when the weapon was slung over my back.
Similar concern with the M3 light on my Home D SBR. I need to learn how to melt plastic. :)

i see, yeah never experienced that. some shooters i knew from the marine corps and then later from my department have had complaints like that, but one thing i noticed is that they are all guys with large hands so i think that might have something to do with it. the magpul trigger guards look great anyway. thats what i would get if i didnt have this one already. i cant wait to get my suppressor paperwork back so i can pick it up and post pictures.

Damn Variable! Very nice, man! I hope to someday be able to afford an MP5 as well. After shooting one recently, I am hooked on it! I don't think I'll ever own a F/A AR15/M16, as the ammo is just too damn expensive to afford to have some real fun with it. But the 9mm ammo is still low enough priced that I could afford to occasionally (once a month or every other month) afford to go to the range and shoot the shit out of it for an afternoon.
Which model is that called? MP5K? And how many different models of the MP5 are there out there (1986 and prior, that is)?

Well, first off, most of the rifles pictured in this pic thread aren't full autos. The majority of them are simply semi-auto short barreled rifles. And these guys don't acquire all of these nice blasters overnight, it takes some time (for most) to afford to put them all together.
As an example, the complete Larue Tactical SBR pictured above (USMC03's SBR), took Jeff 11 months to build from beginning to end! That's a damn long time! He didnt just go out one day and drop $2,500 for it in one afternoon, it took him some time. You just can't tell that from only looking at a nice (a really nice) picture of it and without talking to him.
